Announcement April 2026: After many years of keeping guinea pigs I have now stopped breeding them and will no longer be offering them for sale. However, as someone who is passionate about piggies, I am always willing to give help and advice about guinea pigs when needed.
My love of guinea pigs started in the 1970’s when we bought some for my children and has continued ever since. I have been keeping and breeding guinea pigs in Mid Suffolk for over twenty years. Guinea pigs make very interesting pets and I am happy to offer advice on their care.
Guinea pigs are sociable animals and should be kept in pairs, or as small groups of sows ( female guinea pigs).
It is important to realise that guinea pigs have no means of defence and, when outdoors, need to be protected from cats, dogs and foxes. I have known some very upset families who have had their pets killed by a fox or by granny’s terrier.
You can find further information on care and the piggies themselves on my website. Please also feel free to contact me – my email address is listed on the site and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I don’t have any further recommendations as to where to buy guinea pigs but recommend seeking out a breeder where you can see the set up and conditions for yourself before purchasing.
